The Science
Designing a product that is effective and that patients and consumers will enjoy takes more than pleasing the palate to be a success. We research and apply well documented science and our own proprietary methods and patent pending technologies to make the products perform in a powerful and measured manner for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and medical cannabinoid industries.
How do we stay on top of the scientific research required to refine existing formulations while created new solutions? Our existing knowledge base includes scientists and chemists that specialize in their fields. Since 2023 we have utilized Artificial Intelligence to for additional research and validation. This allows us to quickly and efficiently develop our technology for the industries we support.
The results are represented in these core technologies applied to various 3rd party partners and our own formulations:
These patent-pending solutions are the result of plantrica's R & D and are now their own independent brands:
monarQh
Our patent-pending nano-technology called nanoQuick is based on 25 years of experience and R&D.
PROBLEM:
The majority of emulsions and delivery systems are inherently unstable reducing the shelf life while also delivering low amounts of an active ingredient such as nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, cannabinoids and terpenes and into the bloodstream. Oil-soluble Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) are the most difficult to deliver into the blood stream with a natural absorption rate as little as 5% Production batches are also prone to not being properly homogenized leading to individual units with different API amounts. When an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient ("API") is administered intravenously (systemic circulation into the bloodstream), its bioavailability is 100%. However, when oil-soluble API’s are administered via routes other than intravenous, the bioavailability is significantly lower unless the API is part of a formulation designed for the specific points of entry.
SOLUTION:
Faster and more Predictable Absorption: monarQh's nanoQuick corrects this with the addition of nanoQuick to your products. We specialize in API delivery technology by developing three distinct Patent-Pending systems to give you the ability to design your products as true pharmaceutical API delivery systems. All nanoQuick types are fully-tunable Patent-Pending, Self-Emulsifying Drug Delivery System (SEDDS) solutions that improve the solubility, micelle stability, enhances the absorption potential, and increases the bio-availability of the API using food-grade ingredients and lab-tested processes. monarQh addresses the primary methods of API absorption in the body via three formulations:
nanoQuick S: Sublingual and transdermal delivery
nanoQuick L: Lymphatic delivery
nanoQuick H: Hepatic delivery
Bioavailability Increased: With 70%-90+% ingredient intake making your consumer experience more cost effective, potent and consistent.
Precise dosing: Product formulations will be more homogenized when for more precise
dosing across batches.
SUMMARY:
nanoQuick® surrounds and protects your API, these Pharmaceutical Grade Patent-Pending formulations replaces your existing delivery system at a lower cost creating a more stable and bioavailable option for pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, beverages, tinctures, edibles and topical manufacturers.
Better Bitter Blocker
The problem with formulas that utilize bitter APIs or are just bitter on their own is the bitterness typically reduces the usability and adoption of the product by a consumer if the bitterness isn't reduced. We help formulators solve this problem.
Our patent-pending bitter compound taste blocker formulations are based on 14 years of bitter product formulation, production experience and R&D is called Better Bitter Blocker "BBB" that comes in two profiles allowing a bitter and sweet tunable approach:
1) BBB T1R+ (Bitter Maskers)
2) BBB T2R+ (Bitter Blockers)
Sweet taste receptors (T1R): Sweet-tasting compounds are detected by only two heterodimeric receptors composed of two subunits, T1R2 and T1R3.
Bitter taste receptors (T2R): Bitter tasting compounds are detected by twenty five T2Rs receptors that are a family of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs).
We researched and utilized all major bitter blocker products and determined that no single bitter blocker product works for all formulations. We tested BBB with over 300 isolated bitter compounds and found that the overall reduction in bitter detection was 50-80%.
Our our patent-pending BBB is a "tunable" approach by separating and offering our BBB T1R+ and BBB T2R+.They can be utilized on their own, combined or in concert with a 3rd party bitter blocker.
Highlights:
1) Bitter blocking: 50-80%
2) Low use rates: 2-5% average of your bitter API
3) Lowers sugar amounts in some products
4) Astringency reducer
5) Flavor enhancer
6) Sour reducer
